Word Checker is a simple utility to check whether your words are acceptable to use in various word games such such as: Scrabble, lexilous, Words for Friends and WordFeud. Using the popular SOWPODS dictionary which allows both American and British English this application sorts out whether you truly are a lexical master or just a syntactical blagger.

Word Checker is a simple utility to check whether your words are acceptable to use in various word games such such as: Scrabble, lexilous, Words with Friends and WordFeud. Using the popular SOWPODS dictionary (American and British English - used internationally for tournaments) or TWL (U.S. Canada and Thailand) this application sorts out whether you are a lexical master or just a syntactical blagger. In this version the entire SOWPODS and TWL dictionaries are stored on your system in a relatively small installation whilst definitions are obtained via the internet so wifi or 3g connection is required for them to function.
